WAC Lighting’s OLED Chandelier Inspires with Eco-Friendly Lighting Design and Advanced Nanotechnology

GARDEN CITY, NY – As WAC Lighting’s Organic LED nanotechnology continues to develop and inspire new lighting designs, the company’s new Sōl™ OLED Chandelier makes its commercial debut in 20 lighting galleries across North America in October. Sculpturally representative of ancient symbols for the sun, each eco-friendly chandelier is hand-signed and numbered.

Created in WAC Lighting’s zero-landfill manufacturing campus, this sustainable chandelier was crafted with upgraded ORBEOS OLEDs to deliver strong light output (420 lumens). Sōl's seven, remarkably thin (2.1 millimeters) OLED panels distribute warm white light with optimal color rendering (CRI 80) and a warm color temperature (3900K). Sol adds an additional 10-40% efficiency compared to reflector-based LED fixtures.

Sōl™ features adjustable distribution for soft, ambient mood lighting free of undesirable shadows or glare. Each OLED panel is completely cool to the touch thereby inviting Sōl™ allows users to experience evolutionary Organic LEDs. Circular satellite OLED panels rotate up for indirect lighting, or tilt down to comfortably illuminate the surface below, while the central downlight provides direct downward lighting.
